Son of George and Hannah Cooke, of “Tor View”, Crich, Derbyshire. He was a wire worker prior to enlisting on 29th October 1914 at Crich. He went to France on 29th June 1915 and died, 7th November 1918, of influenza and pneumonia at No. 12 General Hospital, Rouen, France.
