Private Thomas Concannon

Battalion: 16th Battalion Sherwood Foresters (Notts & Derbys) Regiment.
Born and lived at Winster, Derbyshire. Son of Patrick and Katherine Concannon, of East Bank, Winster. He was a farm cow man prior to enlisting at Bakewell, Derbyshire. He was killed in action, on 31st July 1917, in the attack at the River Steenbeeke, near Ypres, Belgium.
Commemorated: Ypres (Menin Gate) Memorial, Belgium. Panel 39 and 41.
