Son of William Andrew and Emma Collins, “Thornleigh” 6, Elm Park Road, Church End, Finchley, London. He was commissioned Sherwood Foresters (Notts & Derbys) Regiment, December 1914 and went to France 26th March 1915. He was attached to the 2nd Battalion Sherwood Foresters and was killed in action, 9th May 1915. aged 30, whilst leading an attack at Richebourg, France.
