Born at Eaton Square, Middlesex. Son of Albert and Eliza Cole, of Gumley, Market Harborough, Leicestershire. He was a groom prior to enlisting at Leicester. He was killed in action, 18th May 1917, age 35, during operation at Cuba Trench near Arras, France.
