Private Walter Amos Coe

Battalion: 10th Battalion Sherwood Foresters (Notts & Derbys) Regiment.

Son of William and Elizabeth Coe, of 98 Upper Thrift Street, Northampton. Husband of Rose Beatrice May Coe, of Water Lane, Wootton, Northamptonshire. He was a boot fitter prior to enlisting on 3rd December 1915 at Northampton. He went to France on 21st March 1917 and was transferred to the 10th Battalion Sherwood Foresters (Notts & Derbys) Regiment, 11th April 1917. He was killed in action, 22nd April 1918, aged 23, during a counterattack at Mesnil, France.
