Born and lived at Dover. Son of James George and Margaret Clitheroe, of 8, Woolcomber Lane, Dover. He was a house painter prior to enlisting at Dover. He was killed in action, 24th April 1917, aged 36, when a German 8 inch shell burst in the courtyard of battalion headquarters at Lievin, France.
Buried : Canadian Cemetery No.2, Neuville-St. Vaast, France. Plot 3. Row B. Grave 28.
