Battalion: 16th Battalion Sherwood Foresters (Notts & Derbys) Regiment.
Son of Henry and Sarah Clarke, of 89 Coronation Road, Brimington, Derbyshire. Husband of Ellen Clarke, of 95 Coronation Rad, Brimington. He was a coal miner prior to enlisting 1st December 1915 at Chesterfield. He went to France on 28th August 1917 and was killed in action, 20th September 1917, aged 22, in the attack on the German positions near Bulgar Wood, Belgium.
