Born at Grimsby, Lincolnshire; Son of Ada Clarke, 8 East Gate Terrace Grimsby, Was an errand boy prior to enlisting at Grimsby. He was killed in action, 24th January 1918, aged 25, at Ferdan House, near Houthulst Forest, Belgium, by an incendiary shell that entered the pill-box he was occupying.
Buried : Cement House Cemetery, Belgium. Plot 4, Row C. Grave 5.
