Son of Thomas and Mary Ann Chesterton, of Brook Hill Farm, Peatling Magna, Leicester. He enlisted at Glenn Parva and was killed in action, 17th October 1918 in the attack at Regnicourt, France.

Buried : Fresnoy-Le-Grand Communal Cemetery Extension, France. Row B Grave 25.
