Born and lived at Nottingham. Son of William Joseph and Mary Cheetham, of Front-Row, Carlton Road, Nottingham. He was a printer prior to enlisting 9th March 1911 at Nottingham. He went to France 28th February 1915 and was killed in action, whilst serving in the line near Lindenhoek, Belgium.

Died : 2nd May 1915, age 19.
