Private William Wildham Chapman

Battalion : 12th Battalion Sherwood Foresters (Notts & Derbys) Regiment.
Born at Spilsby, Lincolnshire. Son of William Chester Chapman and Charlotte Chapman, 2 Wilton Street, Ilkeston, Derbyshire. He was a hosiery worker prior to enlisting at Ilkeston. He went to France on 20th August 1915 and was killed in action, 27th June 1917, by German shellfire, whilst in the line near Ouderdom, Belgium.
