Private Henry Chapman

Battalion : 2nd Battalion Sherwood Foresters (Notts & Derbys) Regiment.
Born at Alvercote, Worcestershire. Son of Thomas and Elizabeth Chapman, of 60 Wood Street, Woodend, Hurley, Worcestershire. He was a coal miner prior to enlisting at Nottingham. He went to France 17th August 1915 and was killed in action, 23rd March 1918, during the German offensive near the Maricourt Road, France.
