Private Frederick Ernest Chapman
Army Number : 96269 (formerly 203806 Lincolnshire Regiment)
Battalion : 2nd Battalion Sherwood Foresters (Notts & Derbys) Regiment.
Son of Arthur and Kate Chapman, of 110, Vernon Road, Aylestone Park, Leicester. He worked in the shoe trade prior to enlisting on 25th April 1917 at Leicester. He was transferred to the 2nd Battalion Sherwood Foresters (Notts & Derbys) Regiment, 12th October 1917. He went to France on 29th March 1918 and was killed in action, 19th September 1918, age 19, on the attack on the Quadrilateral, near Holnon, France.
