Private Nathan Chadbourne

Battalion : 1/8th Battalion Sherwood Foresters (Notts & Derbys) Regiment.

Born at Hucknall, Nottinghamshire. Son of Frederick And Mary Jane Chadbourne, of 9, Papplewick Road, Hucknall. He lived at 4, Sixth Avenue, Forest Town, Mansfield, Nottinghamshire. He was a coal miner prior to enlisting 4th September 1914 at Mansfield, and went to France 2nd March 1915. He suffered a shell wound to his skull on 25th September 1915 and was sent to No.10 Casualty Clearing Station at Remy Siding, Lijssenthoek, Belgium on the 26th September 1915. He was then transferred to No.26 General Hospital at Etaples, France on the 27th September 1915 and died of wounds 8th October 1915, age 20.
