Son of John Vincent and Annie Spare Vincent Cavell, of 25 Somerset Street, Kingsdown, Bristol. Husband of Florence May Cavell, of Priory Lodge, Easton-In-Gordano, Bristol. He was an architect and surveyor for Bristol Corporation. He was commissioned Second Lieutenant 14th Battalion Sherwood Foresters (Notts & Derbys) Regiment, 8th January 1916. He joined the 11th Battalion Sherwood Foresters (Notts & Derbys) Regiment, in France 10th August 1916. He was promoted Lieutenant 20th February 1917 and died of wounds 22nd April 1917, aged 34.
Buried : Easton-In-Gordano (St. George) Churchyard, Somerset, United Kingdom. In South-East part.
