Born and lived at Nottingham. Son of Dick and Clara Cave, of 25, Athorpe Grove, Vernon Avenue, Old Basford, Nottingham. He was a hoisery sorter prior to enlisting at Nottingham. He died of wounds on 1st June 1917, aged 20.
