Son of Frederick and Naomi Causer, of Main Road, Linton, Burton-On-Trent, Staffordshire. He was a colliery shunter prior to enlisting 10th February 1916 at Gresley, Derbyshire. He was admitted to 53 Field Ambulance 2nd September 1918 suffering from gunshot wounds to his lower extremities. He was admitted to 5 Canadian Hospital, Rouen, France, on 3rd September 1918 and died of wounds 8th October 1918, age 21.
