Battalion : 16th Battalion Sherwood Foresters (Notts & Derbys) Regiment.
Born and lived at Conisborough, Yorkshire. Son of Thomas and Sarah Cass of 15 Ivanhoe Terrace, Conisborough. Husband of Mary Cass. He was a coal miner prior to enlisting at Conisborough. He was killed in action, 22nd September 1917, during the attack on the German positions near Bulgar Wood, France.
