Sergeant Edward Casburn

Battalion : 9th Battalion Sherwood Foresters (Notts & Derbys) Regiment.
Born in Woodlesford, Yorkshire. Son of Frederick and Ann Casburn of Clarborough, Nottinghamshire. He was employed on his cousin’s farm prior to enlisting at Retford, Nottinghamshire. He was killed in action, 27th August 1915, in Gallipoli.
Buried : Helles Memorial, Turkey. Panel 150 to 152.
