Battalion : 15th Battalion Sherwood Foresters (Notts & Derbys) Regiment.
Born at Hasting’s Sussex, Son of Hubert and Kate Carswell, of Mill Cottage, Whitfield, Dover, Kent. He was a cowman on a farm prior to enlisting at Dover, 17th February 1917. He was killed in action on 28th March 1918, age 22, whilst in the line to the east of the Bray/Albert Road, France.
