Lance Corporal William Carrington

Battalion : 17th Battalion Sherwood Foresters (Notts & Derbys) Regiment.

Born and lived in Nottingham. Son of John and Eliza Carrington, of 45, Northville Street, Nottingham. He was a meat salesman prior to enlisting at Nottingham. He was killed in action, 3rd September 1916, in the attack at Beaumont Hamel, France during the Battle of the Somme.
