Born at Grimsby and lived at Wisbech, Cambridgeshire. Husband of Elizabeth Canham, of 7, Cannon Street, Wisbech. He enlisted at Lincoln. He was awarded the Military Medal. London Gazette 12th December 1917. “For Gallantry and devotion to duty when in the attack at Zillebeke, near Ypres, 20th September 1917” He died of wounds on 31st October 1918, aged 35 at Edingburgh War Hospital.
