Born at Newcastle and lived at Milton Street, Kirkby-in-Ashfield, Nottinghamshire. Husband of Mrs J. Cameron, of 102, Upper Church Street, Mount Pleasant, Spennymoor, Co. Durham. He was a coal miner prior to enlisting 18th June 1915 at Mansfield, Nottinghamshire. He went to France on 6th March 1916 and was killed in action, 3rd June 1916, age 40, whilst in the line near Givenchy, France.
Buried : Le Touret Military Cemetery, Richebourg-l’Avoue, France. Plot 3, Row G, Grave 10.
