Private Arthur Calladine

Battalion : 10th Battalion Sherwood Foresters (Notts & Derbys) Regiment.
Born and lived at Ilkeston, Derbyshire. Son of Thomas and Emma Calladine, of 20 Rutland Street. Ilkeston. Husband of Mabel Calladine, of 1 North Road, Ilkeston. He was a coal miner prior to enlisting at Ilkeston. He went to France 16th December 1915 and was killed in action, 14th February 1916, during heavy German shellfire and the explosion of a German mine, prior to the German attack of the front line trenches, near the canal to the south-east of Ypres, Belgium.
