Son of Charles and Mary Ann Johnson, of 295, Model Village, Creswell, Mansfield, Nottinghamshire. Killed in action, on 1st July 1916, aged 18, in the attack on the German positions at Ovillers, France, on the first day of the Battle of the Somme.
