He was born at Hyson Green, Nottingham. Son of George and Susan Newcombe, of 25, Thurman Street, Hyson Green, Nottingham. He was employed in the lace industry before enlistment and was accidentally killed, 14th February 1917, age 33, whilst on duty in England.
