Born and lived at Wirksworth, Derbyshire. Son of Samuel and Alathere Elliott, of 22, Greenhill, Wirksworth. He enlisted at Matlock, Derbyshire. and was killed in action, 1st August 1916, aged 22, during a raid on the German positions near Givenchy, France.
