Battalion: 9th Battalion Sherwood Foresters (Notts & Derbys) Regiment.

Born at Park, Yorkshire. Son of George and Jane Buxton, of 21 Old Street, Park, Sheffield, Yorkshire. He was a silversmiths stamper prior to enlisting at Sheffield. He served in Gallipoli in 1915 and was killed in action, 23rd July 1917, by German shellfire, whilst in the line to the north-east of Ypres, Belgium.
