Private Harold Buxton

He was born at Clay Cross, Derbyshire. Son of Charles and Mary Buxton, of 202 Furnace Hill, Clay Cross. Husband of Augusta Buxton, of 19, Bridge Street, New Tupton, Chesterfield, Derbyshire. He was a moulder prior to enlisting at Clay Cross, 15th October 1914. Went to France 25th June 1915 and suffered gunshot wounds to his neck 19th July 1915. He was admitted to 12th Casualty Clearing Station at Hazebrouck, France and then transferred to No. 13 General Hospital Boulogne, France, where he died of wounds 28th July 1915, age 29.
