Born and lived at Brampton, Derbyshire. Son of Alfred and Mary A. Buxton, of 25, Alma Street, Brampton. He was a foundry labourer prior to enlisting 1st March 1917 at Chesterfield. He went to France on 6th June 1917 and was appointed LAnce Corporal, 3rd September 1917. He died of wounds, 6th October 1917, age 25.
